Theatre Technician (Lighting Bias)

Job description

Sadler's Wells East is our new and exciting venue opening soon, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Lighting Technician to be part of its first team.

We are a receiving theatre with varied seasons, including both artistic and commercial activities. You would be required to have a flexible approach to working patterns, and ideally will have experience of working with either repertory or touring companies.

Are you a seasoned theatre professional with a passion for pushing boundaries and excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every performance is a live spectacle? If so, then this is the role for you!

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with large-scale productions
  • Practical person with excellent knowledge of theatres/venue technical requirements
  • A demonstratable knowledge of industry health and safety
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure will be valuable in this role
  • Knowledge, skills and experience to ‘intermediate’ level in lighting and ‘standard’ level in sound are essential to this role.
  • Collaborative, ready to work closely with e.g. production teams to achieve their vision.
