The course is for 16-19 years (up to 25 years with an Education Health Care Plan) and is one of the major initiatives at our new venue, Sadler’s Wells East. Our brand-new fourth venue in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in Stratford.
We’re looking for 2 experienced hip hop professionals with specialisms in either Music Production or Djing to join our team. Join us and be part of something groundbreaking with our first cohort of students starting in September 2025!
All hip hop specialists should have a track record of working in the creative industries and with young people aged 14-24. This role will work with our ABC Assessment and Pastoral Leads to support learners to successfully complete the UAL level 3 qualification through co-creation of lessons that prepare the next generation of leaders entering the creative industries.
As a production specialist you will mentor students. Production lessons will broaden understanding of various ways hip hop can be explored as a tool to support accessibility, improve communication and increase community engagement at a show or event.
We’re particularly keen on working with creatives who have an interest in addressing the barriers around accessing the arts and how we may create theatre and events which has inclusion, community and equity at its core. You will work in a dynamic and creative environment, where you can make a positive impact on the lives and careers of emerging talent. If this sounds like you, please apply today!
We’re open to group applications – Please be aware collectives must be able to demonstrate shared knowledge and high-quality co-planning (Note: advertised teaching rates will be applied per session not person).
Please note: You must hold the right to work in the UK.
Location: This position requires onsite in person working at Sadler’s Wells East, and Sadler’s Wells in Angel, Islington for events such as Breakin’ Convention Festival.
